Going on a trip? Whether you're wrangling up the whole family for a vacation or just going on a solo adventure it can be stressful making sure you have all your pre-travel boxes checked. That's where we come in. This post will be geared towards the eco-conscious travelers and minimalists, but honestly even if you don't feel like those labels apply to you we do have some mighty convenient tips that are sure to help you anyways.
One of the biggest boxes to check pre-travel is bathroom essentials. Even if its an overnight you likely are going to want to take a shower after a long car ride or flight, I know I do! Finding the right bathroom essentials that are both practical and sustainable can be contradictory at times but that's no longer the case with us! In this blog post, we will show you how to prepare for the easiest traveling experience, at least when it comes to bath and body care! If you forget your passport that's on you. But, here's your reminder to not forget your passport!
1. The Benefits of Carry-On Sized Travel Soap
When you are traveling, every ounce counts. Some airlines are more strict than others when it comes to the baggage weight limits but regardless I like to play it safe. There's no bigger stress to me than having to check my bag and inevitably having it get left behind or lost right before a long vacation. So I plan ahead by packing carry-on sized soap. Its is a game changer for those who want to travel light without sacrificing cleanliness. Unlike traditional liquid soaps, our travel-sized soap is compact, fitting seamlessly into your luggage without consuming too much space or accounting for too much weight.
How long does one of those little plastic tubes of body gel last you? A couple days? Try our travel sized soap that's about 1/3 the size and it lasts about 1-2 or more week when stored properly. It also eliminates the hassle of liquid restrictions at the airport. According to TSA regulations, you can bring liquids up to 3.4 ounces; however, with our carry-on sized soap, you won’t need to worry about it. You can zip through security without the stress of having your toiletries confiscated. Heck, you don't even have to worry about filling up a little bottle or checking the ounces of each one either! It's grab and go ready, simple, just how it should be.

2. Waterless Products: A TSA-Friendly Solution
While I think worrying about delays, layovers, and the dreaded "you have 10 minutes to board but you have to run 6 miles across the airport to get to your connecting flight" stress is higher on the list than toiletries but they still make the list. So lets kick them off the list all together, the worrying list that is. Thankfully, our products are waterless, meaning they are not subject to the same TSA restrictions as liquid toiletries. This makes them an ideal choice for anyone aiming to simplify their travel routine without sacrificing hygiene or sacrificing your already favorite skincare 😉.
Waterless products offer an additional benefit: they contribute to a more sustainable lifestyle. No water means no plastic packaging, for our products at least! Many bath, body, and cleaning products have a rather high percentage of water. Its not because its necessary, its because its cheap and takes up space! Its kind of like how chip brands used to put a whole lot more chips in their bags but now its mostly air "so the chips don't get crushed" I call bologna there! Anyways, I am getting off track here. By choosing concentrated, waterless options, you can save money, unnecessary plastic packaging, and space compared to traditional liquid products. This choice minimizes waste while also reducing your carbon footprint and again saving you money.
3. Concentrated Formulas: More Bang for Your Buck
Why settle for a 3oz liquid shampoo that lasts only a couple of showers when you can opt for a shampoo bar that lasts months. I have some customers that get just over a month from a bar (often they get a bit longer after getting used to using a bar) and some customers that get 5 months from a bar! Our concentrated formulas are crafted to provide maximum use with minimal waste. We currently offer 2 shampoo bar varieties and 1 conditioner bar.
If you are extra tight on space you could cut your bar in half with a knife and travel that way! I do not recommend this for our conditioner bars as it may cause them to break rather than the clean cut a shampoo would give you. I also only recommend doing this is you really need the extra couple inches in your suitcase. Storing them on the go is really pretty simple. I use a old Tupperware or metal tin for transport and then set them in the shower when I get to where I am going. If its just a shower here and there and you need to pack them back away you can simple pat them dry and tuck them back in to their little container and off you go.

4. One Bar, Multiple Uses
I used to have an elaborate multistep skincare routine and the older I got I realized 2 things; one its super time consuming and two simpler is often better. Now, especially when traveling, I like to keep it stupid simple. Instead of packing a body soap and a facewash I just bring our Rose and Charcoal Soap. It was originally designed to be a facewash and that's how I use it most of the time but at the end of the day it is soap meaning you can use it on your hands and body too! It's versatile that way! This multifunctionality means you can pack just one bar instead of 2, making it a great choice for any traveler looking to pack light.
The Rose & Charcoal soap is gentle on the skin, crafted with natural ingredients like organic shea butter, organic rosehip oil, activated charcoal, and rose koalin clay to name a few. Many customer have reported back that it helped clear up their acne, improve skin complexion, and overall just really enjoyed the bar! A crazy bonus travel tip would be to snag one of our Rose & Charcoal bars in the travel sized variety.
5. Zero Waste Lotion Bar: Moisturizing Without the Mess

In addition to our soaps and shampoo bars, we also offer a zero waste lotion bar that exceeds expectations when it comes to keeping your skin moisturized while you’re on the move. One of our customers actually reached out and sent me this picture claiming the lotion stayed on even after hours of swimming in a chlorinated pool leaving her legs nice and moisturized. Our lotions come in reusable tins that you can chuck in your bag for wherever the wind takes you and for whenever dry skin strikes. Unlike liquid lotions which can pop open and spill in your bag leaving behind a big ole mess, our bars are solid and as long as you don't leave it roasting in the sun on a scorching day you'll be all set!
Oh, and if we are still on a traveling light and keeping it simple kick... its doubles as a solid perfume!!! We offer a variety of scents with one sure to pique your fancy. You can use it head to toe to moisturize but for the ultimate perfume boost rub on the insides of your wrists, on the neck just behind the corner of your jaw, and a bit on your chest. Forgot your deodorant? Rough, but not the end of the world. Rub a little bit of the lotion bar near your armpits and you can squeeze by until you make it back to your toiletry bag! Happens to the best of us.
6. Packing Tips for Minimalist Travelers
Now that you know about our amazing products, let’s focus on how to pack them efficiently. Here are some tips to maximize your carry-on space:
Choose Multi-Use Products: Our rose soap can handle multiple tasks. Look for additional products that serve more than one function to minimize the number of items in your bag.
Use Lightweight Travel Pouches: Invest in these to keep your toiletries organized. This approach makes it easier to find what you need without searching through your bag. Personally, I use a very small non-insulated lunch bag 90% of the time and a small Tupperware for my shampoo, conditioner, and face/body wash.
7. Eco-Friendly Travel: A Growing Trend
As awareness grows around environmental issues, eco-friendly travel is gaining momentum. By opting for products like our carry-on sized soap and waterless toiletries, you are not just simplifying your travel experience; you are also joining a movement toward a more sustainable future.
Its not surprise that traveling in general can have a big carbon footprint from flights, grab and go foods, to replacing forgotten items. But, with the right tools we can cut back our impact. With the right products, you can enjoy your adventures while minimizing waste and reducing your environmental footprint. You can also lead the way and share with others how these simple steps and products made your travel experience better!
8. Embrace Smart and Sustainable Travel Choices
Traveling can become hassle-free when you have the right tools at your fingertips. By selecting carry-on sized soap, waterless products, and concentrated formulas, like ours you simplify your travel routine while caring for the environment.
Whether you are planning a short weekend getaway or an extended journey, our hygiene essentials are designed to enhance your travel experience. So pack light, travel smart, and embrace the benefits of eco-friendly travel!
Remember, even small changes can lead to a significant impact. Choose products that reflect your values, and enjoy your journeys with peace of mind. Happy travels!
