Tired of replacing your razors all the time? Then this is the solution you need. Safety razors are plastic-free alternatives to the disposable razors you find at the grocery or box stores. This razor can last you an extremely long time. We are talking about a possible lifetime if cared for well. I have had mine since 2019 and it's still going strong. On average people go through 40-50 disposable razors a year but imagine buying just one and never needing another?!
These safety razors are metal. The head of the razor unscrews from the handle and comes apart into three pieces. The blade is sandwiched between the two pieces that make up the head of the razor that secure in place when the head is firmly screwed back onto the handle. No tools are required to swap out the blade, only caution to avoid the sharp edges of the double-sided blade.
Once you have added a blade into the razor you can get to shaving. For best results apply soap, or a shaving cream to wet skin, then use the razor by holding it at a 30-45 degree angle against the skin. For areas with longer hair you may want to rinse the razor between strokes for the cleanest shave.
Blades can sometimes be dropped off at pharmacies in a sharps bin or at a recycling facility. Prior to leaving at a facility, you should discuss with the workers how to properly drop them off so no one is injured sorting through the recycling. A great way to store your used blades is in a jar or sturdy sealable container such as a blade disposal container to avoid injury.

After each use, clean your razor with warm water, dry and keep it dry by storing it out of the water when not in use. It's okay to sit in the shower, just not in a pool of water.
If you have stuck hairs or debris on the razor after carefully removing the blade, then you can use a soft scrub brush or textured cloth with warm soapy water to rub off the debris before replacing the blade.
